PASIG CITY – In a bid to step up its Supplier Care Program, Bounty Agro Ventures, Inc. (BAVI) is now developing a high-tech Supplier Portal.
The portal is a web-based system that will automate the status monitoring of BAVI’s payments. It will eliminate the daily inquiries and follow-ups coming from BAVI’s thousands of suppliers all over the Philippines.
The Supplier Portal will help suppliers to track and monitor the real-time status of their account receivables. Auto-generated notifications will also be directed to them through text or email if there are changes in their purchase orders and payments. The portal will also aid supplier sourcing and accreditation.
According to Rachelle Payumo, Assistant Project Manager at the Compliance Support Center, the Supplier Portal will have its soft-launching in the first quarter of 2019. In the latter part of 2019, a mobile app will be launched to complement it.
“These digitalized platforms are huge investments to BAVI especially in cost and time,” Payumo said. “But beyond these is the value it can bring to the company and to our business partners, such as low labor cost, improved personnel efficiency, transparency of payment status, increased overall satisfaction of suppliers, and ultimately, uplift BAVI as the customer of choice in the industry.”
Another project under the Supplier Care Program is the 3Cs Guidebook, which guides BAVI personnel in submitting payment documents in a “complete, correct, and consistent” manner. Copies of the booklet will be distributed nationwide by December 2018.
Several other projects are underway to help BAVI maintain a strong and stable relationship with its business partners. These are implemented under the Supplier Care Program of the MCS Process Improvement Unit of the Compliance Support Center.
