In line with its commitment to provide quality and safe products, Bounty Agro Ventures, Inc. (BAVI) participated in the recently concluded International Phytate Summit (IPS-Asia), a two-day conference which tackled the latest researches on phytates that are present in animal feed ingredients.
Conducted by AB Vista, an animal nutrition technology company, the summit brought together experts in animal nutrition to deepen our knowledge and understanding on the anti-nutritional effects of phytate, including its influence on other nutrients. This is the first time that AB Vista invited their client partners in the said activity.

BAVI was represented by Myla Rose B. Ocleaza, BAVI Animal Nutritionist for Mindanao Operations.
Studies on enzymes and its real-world application were also discussed during the summit. Also highlighted in the event are latest advances in diet formulation to combat the anti-nutritional effect of phytate.
According to Ocleaza, these new developments in animal nutrition have a significant impact on feed formulation. “Understanding phytate destruction is significant to achieve better nutrient utilization resulting to optimum animal performance and reduction in the excretion of phosphorus in the environment,” she said.
To keep its employees up-to-date in their respective fields, BAVI regularly sends them in trainings and workshops that contribute in their personal and professional development.
