In the true spirit of nationalism, Bounty Agro Ventures, Inc. (BAVI), through its flagship brand Chooks-to-Go, led a simple boodle fight lunch to remember and celebrate the lives of the 44 members of the Special Action Force who died in a fierce battle on January 25, 2015 in Mamasapano, Maguindanao.
With the support of Alagang Kapatid Foundation, Inc. (AKFI), the corporate social responsibility arm of TV5, BAVI and Chooks-to-Go set up a simple yet warm salu-salo in Lanao del Sur’s provincial capitol.
The troops, considered as the true #ManokNgBayan, enjoyed freshly cooked Chooks-to-Go oven-roasted chicken. The boodle fight was led by representatives from BAVI Cagayan de Oro Mark Cabales and Ricky Inoferio and AKFI Executive Director Menchie Silvestre.
Aside from remembering and celebrating their lives, the affair was also a sign of gratitude for their bravery and love for country. With this simple act, BAVI and Chooks-to-Go hope that Filipinos will be encouraged to support and honor the brave men and women who put their lives on the line for the country.
