Aside from a successful season 8 run, #MichaelAngelo The Sitcom has been nominated at the 31st Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Television for Best Comedy Show.
#MichaelAngelo The Sitcom is an inspirational comedy show that aims to give inspiration and entertainment to the Filipino public. Through funny banters and punch lines, the show teaches the viewers good values.
Each episode focuses on Migo, portrayed by emerging TV host, comedian and inspirational speaker, Michael Angelo “MA” Lobrin. Migo is a Chooks-to-Go delivery man, who is Barangay Manukan’s resident good boy and go-to person for help and advices.
“It is an honor to be part of the 31st PMPC Star Awards for Television. When we started this show, our only hope was to teach good values and give inspiration to others,” Lobrin said.
The two-year old program, which was launched in 2015 with Chooks-to-Go as one of the major sponsors, shares the nomination with long-running TV shows Pepito Manaloto of GMA 7 and Home Sweetie Home of ABS-CBN 2.
“It is good to know that aside from fulfilling this dream, we are also able to make our viewers happy through our ability to bring fun. This wouldn’t be possible of course without the relentless support of our sponsors including Bounty Agro Ventures, Inc. brands Chooks-to-Go, Uling Roasters and SNOK, which also aim to give joy and delight to its consumers by providing delicious and quality products.”
#MichaelAngelo The Sitcom airs every Sunday at 11:00PM on GMA News TV.
The 31st PMPC Star Awards for Television will be held at the Henry Lee Irwin Theater, Ateneo de Manila University on November 12.
