Bounty Agro Ventures, Inc. (BAVI) Ortigas-based Support Centers, composed of Human Resources (HR), Marketing, Information Systems and Finance, and the Metro Manila Business Center recently held their annual Sportsfest at the Upper Deck Sports Center, Pasig.
The activity is part of the Wellness Program organized by the Employee Engagement team to promote the spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship and to provide an avenue for relaxation outside the workplace.
The program was kicked off by Abigail Rivera, Manager for Training. In her opening remarks, she reminded the participants that the objective of the team is greater than individual goals, as stated in BAVI’s core values. She also stressed that the value of success should be for every member of the team, and that although it is a competition, participants should still enjoy the games.
The competition was composed of two games—badminton and basketball.
The first game was between Metro Manila Business Center and HR and Marketing group. The game was led mostly by the HR and Marketing group, but there were instances where the Metro Manila team almost cut the lead into single digits. The HR and Marketing team, however, managed to pull away with the win, with the final score 55-42.
This was followed by the battle between Finance and Information Systems. Early on, the team from Finance built a huge lead and never looked back. The final score is 53-39.

For badminton, each department formed two teams. The pair from Marketing emerged as the champion despite tough competition from opposing pairs.
The winners from basketball took home a cash prize of PhP 4,000. The teams will meet again for the championship in the succeeding wellness activity. For badminton, Marketing team won PhP 3,000 and a plaque.
During the awarding ceremony, led by HR Group Manager Jaimie Natividad, the HR and Marketing Team and Finance Team were given special awards. HR and Marketing received the Most Color Coordinated Team with the Most Number of Attendees, while the Finance team was given cash prize for perfect attendance.
