Bounty Agro Ventures, Inc. (BAVI), the country’s second largest poultry integrator and the number one chicken rotisserie store chain operator, received its Investors in People (IiP) Silver accreditation after meeting the criteria of the IiP Generation 6 Framework (IiP Gen6).
IiP is an internationally recognized institution that sets the standard for better people management by defining what it takes to lead, support and manage people well for sustainable results. It has over 14,000 accredited organizations around the globe.
Organizations undertaking the accreditation are benchmarked against international standards and IiP best practices, which are constantly updated and reviewed to take into account the latest workplace trends and programs of organizations in their industry or profession.
Under IiP Gen6, BAVI is assessed against indicators and themes, which represents the level of performance achieved, from ‘developed’ to ‘high performing’.
Assessment was done through online survey, interviews, observations and review of documentation, which covers the company’s mission and vision statements; corporate values; leadership brands; employee engagement activities; employee assessment efforts; and rewards and recognitions programs.
Results revealed that through open communication practices and programs, leaders are able to build trust across all levels of the organization. BAVI employees see clearly how their own individual work contributes to the achievement of the company goals.
IiP also noted that empowering people and teams is a continuing focus of the company. People are encouraged to take initiative and be involved in decision making to achieve the organization’s objectives.
It also cited the 7 Habits Program as an example of a training activity aimed at strengthening the organization’s values, and the BAVI Academy as an excellent program that makes learning and development opportunities available to all employees.
According to BAVI President and General Manager Ronald Mascariñas, this accreditation illustrates BAVI’s commitment to the personal and professional development of its employees and the organization.
He said, “With the Silver accreditation under IiP Gen6, we are glad that our people standards are at par with the best in the world. Our people are vital to our organization, and we recognize that without them, none of these recognitions would be possible. We share with them the successes of the company.”
BAVI has put in place programs to ensure that employees continually grow and shine because of excellent people management. It was awarded its first IiP Standard accreditation in 2015, and IiP bronze accreditation in 2016. The latest IiP Silver accreditation is the third in three years. BAVI is the only IIP accredited company in the Philippine poultry industry.
