Poultry and retail company Bounty Agro Ventures, Inc. (BAVI) is on track to achieve almost 100% vaccination rate as its inoculation campaign wraps up in the coming weeks.
With 84% of employees now having at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, BAVI has been taking all available means to protect its thousands-strong employees against the virus.

In his visits to BAVI offices and facilities, company President Ronald Mascariñas commended employees for their prompt cooperation in getting the jab, which has increased confidence in going back to their respective offices.
I am glad to see that most of our people are already vaccinated and starting to go back to their workplace. Confidence is increasing and business is starting to pick up.
Ronald Mascariñas
“Nagpapasalamat ako sa aking mga kasamahan sa BAVI sa kanilang patuloy at tapat na pagtaguyod sa aming kabuhayan sa kabila ng seryosong banta ng virus. Together, we will continue to find ways to thrive and lead in the New Economy.”
Known for his hands-on leadership, Mascariñas also expressed gratitude to the company’s “partners in the government and health sectors who are tirelessly helping us to protect our people.”

When the pandemic hit last year, BAVI was quick to introduce necessary changes to the company’s work set-up. Additional safety measures, hazard pay for field and office personnel, flexible work arrangements, and a guarantee to cover all medical bills beyond health insurance coverage including outpatient medication. Damage to property of employees due to ensuing natural calamities like typhoons and earthquakes were also covered by the company’s SAGIP Fund.
According to Mascariñas, BAVI’s swift pivots helped the company to achieve, amidst the pandemic, historic successes that show its culture of innovation and agility.

These achievements included the nationwide production of zero-antibiotics chicken, the first and only such kind in the country; development of a new trade channel with close to 20,000 resellers of BAVI products; launching of the new chicken burger retail brand HeiHei; and serving almost a million people through various corporate social responsibility activities.

Not surprisingly, BAVI also continues to reap recognition locally and abroad. In the UK-based Investors in People Awards, BAVI is the lone Filipino organization selected as a finalist for Best Pivot. It also garnered the most Circle of Excellence awards in the upcoming Asia CEO Awards, including Global Executive of the Year for Mascariñas.
