Helping employees socialize and learn new skills amid the pandemic, Bounty Agro Ventures, Inc. (BAVI) has launched three hobby clubs as part of a wellbeing program.
The Pagsasama: Hilig Mo, Ibahagi Mo of the Alagang BAVI program held its first online session on October 30. The project’s three hobby clubs – Gardening, Cooking & Baking, and Sports & Fitness – gathered their members for the first time.
More than 30 employees from various departments and ranks joined the hobby clubs. In their first online session, they introduced themselves to the club and elected club officers.
According to Vice President for HR, Legal, and Corporate Administration Atty. Nedo Sasing, the hobby clubs will help employees to have better work-life integration.
“The hobby clubs – as well as the other components of Alagang BAVI – are an opportunity for our people to develop themselves as individuals with particular interests,” he said. “The clubs will be venues for them to make friends and learn things that will help them to be physically and mentally healthy.”
The Alagang BAVI wellbeing program started last August, with activities that include a weight loss contest, a mental health seminar series, and a campaign for healthy eating.
In the coming weeks, members of the Pagsasama hobby clubs will meet virtually and have sessions wherein members cook certain dishes together, identify peculiar plants, and do simultaneous workouts.
