TAGUIG CITY — For the past month, there have been hundreds of locally stranded individuals outside of Libingan ng mga Bayani.
Though there have been donations coming from the food sector, some of the LSIs could not eat it. And it’s because the majority of them are Muslims looking to get back home.

Kaya nagpakasakali ako na makauwi ng maayos,” said Nihar Karim, who is looking to get back home to Zamboanga City.
Hearing their plea, Adobo Connection sent over hundreds of packed meals Friday afternoon to help them out. And the chain made sure that each and every meal is halal.

“In donating, we also have to think about culture. That is why whenever we give something, it has to respect every religion and culture as well,” said Adobo Connection president Ronald Mascariñas.

Speaking on behalf of everyone, Karim expressed her gratefulness for this blessing.
