A staunch advocate of inclusion in the workplace, Bounty Agro Ventures, Inc. (BAVI) recently joined the Global Week of Inclusion celebration, July 19-26.
BAVI’s celebration included social media posts on people with disabilities and culminated with an origami class in support of Special Olympics Asia Pacific’s 1,000 Cranes for Inclusion project.

1,000 Cranes aimed to bring awareness on the one wish of people with intellectual disabilities (PIDs): to be truly included in mainstream society.
The campaign took from the Japanese legend of the Senbazuru, which says folding 1,000 paper cranes makes one’s wish come true.

We at BAVI understand that wishing is necessarily followed by doing.
Last January, the company launched the Kaya ‘Yan, Manok ng Bayan campaign in partnership with Special Olympics Asia Pacific. It aims to employ PIDs at BAVI, give them job-hunting skills, develop their talents in sports, and engage employees and the public in understanding inclusion.

As we continue our partnership with Special Olympics, we invite everyone to keep in mind that every person has inherent dignity and unique abilities — no matter their background or physical and intellectual abilities.
