Department of Agriculture (DA) Secretary William Dar yesterday laid out plans for 2020 in a luncheon meeting organized by the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) and sponsored by Chooks-to-Go of Bounty Agro Ventures, Inc. (BAVI).
Held at Makati Shangri-La in Makati City, the event gathered about 50 diplomats, entrepreneurs, and ECCP members.
Among other things, Sec. Dar mentioned the need to encourage younger Filipinos to venture into farming, as current farmers are now getting old.
The session’s attendees included Belgian Ambassador Michel Goffin, Polish charges d’Affairs Jaroslaw Szczepankewicz, DA Assistant Secretary Noel Reyes, and BAVI Animal Health Senior Supervisor Dr. Rodrigo Faeldo.
BAVI is committed to supporting local farmers and their families through various projects.
