MANDAUE CITY — BAVI Toastmasters clubs and some of their members received various awards at the recently concluded District 75 Convention (DISCON) at Bai Hotel Cebu, April 26-28.
Three of BAVI’S clubs received President’s Distinguished Club awards: BAVI Toastmasters Club, BAVI Manila Toastmasters Club, and BAVI Calamba Toastmasters Club. The President’s Distinguished Club award is the highest recognition bestowed by Toastmasters International to clubs which excel in terms of membership, educational achievements, and administration. Meanwhile, BAVI Negros Toastmasters Club received a Distinguished Club award.
BAVI also received six Triple Crown awards: by Human Resource Management VP Nedo Sasing, Corporate Communications Officer Daryl Zamora, Training Supervisor Jeoff Parcarey, Senior Training Admin Assistant Christine Guimbaolibot, HR Admin Assistant Havilah Baguio, and Finance Admin Assistant Cristal Villarin. Triple Crowns are given to Toastmasters who completed at least three educational achievements or “norms” during the year.
BAVI currently has 13 Toastmasters clubs, with BAVI Toastmasters Club as their “mother club”.
