In line with its continued support to young talents, Bounty Agro Ventures, Inc. (BAVI) recently sponsored a national congress for veterinary students held earlier last month at Central Mindanao University (CMU) in Maramag, Bukidnon.
The annual event, dubbed 14th National Congress of Veterinary Medicine Students (NCVMS), gathered more than 400 students from various state and local universities and colleges around the country.
The objective of the event is to give students from all over the country first-hand information on the latest updates, developments, and trends in the different fields of veterinary medicine. This year’s theme is “Power in Courage and in Unity: Strengthening Future Veterinarians Amidst Challenging Tides”.
Various activities were prepared for the delegates, which include seminars and talks; team building; quiz bee; clinical case presentations by the student-delegates; essay and poster making contests; and trade fair.
“Participating in events like this shows our company’s commitment in supporting young talents, especially in the field of veterinary medicine. In the future, as veterinarians, these student-delegates will play an important role in the lives of both animals and humans, and the environment as well,” said Dr. Mark Paderes, Senior Vice President for Animal Health and Feed Mill Technical Group of BAVI.
At the trade fair, BAVI set up a booth where participants can know more about the company and its business. BAVI employees also attended the event to give the delegates and students the chance to learn more about the company, its various brands, and available professional opportunities.
To allow delegates and CMU students to beat the heat, a pop-up Papa Dan’s ice cream stall was also put up in the campus.
One of the fastest growing retail company in the country with nearly 2,000 stores nationwide, BAVI’s product portfolio includes well-known roasted chicken brands Chooks-to-Go, Uling Roasters, and Reyal Litson Manok; new snack brands Papa Dan’s and SNOK; and Kamukamo, which features pork products like crispy ulo and crispy pata.
