Bounty Agro Ventures, Inc. (BAVI), together with Kiwanis Club of Legazpi City, provided assistance to the victims of the Mt. Mayon eruption who are staying in evacuation centers.
The Club is looking at extending support to at least 1,000 families from the affected barangays in the cities of Legazpi and Daraga in Albay.
BAVI donated 1,000 packs of Bounty Fresh Marinado, marinated chicken that is easy to cook and serve.
The first leg of the outreach happened last January 26 in Budiao Anislag Daraga resettlement area, followed by the operations in Bitano Elementary School in Legazpi last January 29. Over 500 families received special relief packages, which can tide them over until it is safe for them to go back to their homes.
“We at BAVI believes that a simple act of bayanihan can go a long way, especially amidst an unfortunate event like this. This is the least that we can do for our affected brothers and sisters,” said Joel Ahorro, branch head of BAVI Bicol.
