In keeping with its advocacy of extending help to indigenous peoples (IP), Bounty Agro Ventures, Inc. (BAVI) last October 20 visited the IP camping site at the University of the Philippines in Diliman and donated oven-roasted chicken.
Part of its employee engagement program, the visit intends to immerse the employees with the life and culture of the various indigenous groups across the country and encourage them share their time and effort to the less fortunate individuals.
Nearly 3,000 Lumad and indigenous peoples of the Cordillera, Central Luzon and Southern Luzon were gathered in UP Diliman to conduct a series of cultural activities and fora to inform the public about their plight in their communities.
As in the previous year, BAVI sponsored 300 oven-roasted chicken from its flagship rotisserie brand, Chooks-to-Go, which were shared by everyone during dinner. Employees helped in organizing the grouping and distribution of the chicken. They also had an opportunity to meet some Lumad leaders and Department of Social Welfare and Development Secretary Judy Taguiwalo.

BAVI actively promotes and encourages its employees to be socially responsible by participating in volunteer and giving back activities. This is the second year that the company sponsored a meal for the visiting IP groups, and is just among its many outreach programs.
