May 16 was a special day for 34-year-old bank employee Janice Bulan of General Santos City. It was her husband’s anniversary of being a police officer. So like any special family occasion, she made a quick stop at Chooks-to-Go to bring home her family’s favorite litson manok. At the rotisserie stall, she filled an entry form for its Chooks-to-Win raffle promo.
More than a month later, that same raffle entry stub was drawn as the grand prize winner of P1M cash. “Kahit isa lang pala ‘yung entry mo, masasali talaga siya [sa promo]. Hindi pala ibig sabihin nun na kahit nasa dulo ka ng Pilipinas, hindi na siya mapapadala sa Luzon at masasama sa bunutan,” said Janice as she received her prize last July 29 at Discovery Suites, Ortigas Center, Pasig City. But beyond the promo, Janice has been a loyal Chooks-to-Go customer, whether to serve it during her kids’ birthday parties or to indulge her roasted chicken cravings after a long day at work. “Bumibili ako ng Chooks- to-Go dahil sa lasa. Tapos binigyan pa ako ng bonus na 1 million pesos. Salamat talaga.”
For 2nd prize winner Blesilda Ong of Meycauayan, Bulacan, it felt too unreal when she first learned that she won P250,000. “Si Michael Angelo Lobrin, (Chooks-to-Go brand ambassador) yung tumawag sa akin. Di ako naniwala. Sabi niya mafi-feature daw ito sa TV saka makikita ko sa [Facebook] page ng Chooks. Nung July 16, inabangan ko siya, totoo nga.”
Blesilda almost did not join the promo. For the many times she bought Chooks-to-Go for her family, she just always kept the raffle entries thinking that winning was just next-to-impossible. But for some reason, she mustered the patience to sit down one night and fill out more than 30 entries and drop them at her suki Chooks-to-Go branch in Sto. Niño. A few weeks later, one of those entries made Blesilda P250,000 richer.
Like Janice, Blesilda has long been a fan of the roasted chicken brand. “Yung Chooks kasi, hindi nagbabago. Every time na bumibili ako, talagang OK yung pagkakaluto niya. Hindi tulad sa iba.”
Chooks-to-Go’s brand promise of ‘masarap kahit walang sauce’ resonates the most to 3rd prize winner, 54-year-old Margarita Asayas of Mandaue, Cebu. “Number 1, ‘yung juicy siya. Sabi ng mga anak ko, …pag-abot sa balay, pwede nang walang suka pa o toyo. Pwede nang wala na siyang sawsawan,” she said as she received her P100,000 cash prize.
Her entire family has grown fond of Chooks-to-Go’s signature juiciness to the point that they enjoy it every week after church. Gone are the days when the kids demand for packets of gravy or sauce from her every time she brings home roasted chicken; now, they get upset whenever she buys from any other rotisserie.
With the raffle promo winners coming from all over the country, Chooks-to-Win proved its nationwide appeal. But the promo transcended beyond the cash prizes and gadgets given away. Bounty Agro Ventures, Inc. (BAVI) president and general manager Ronald Daniel Ricaforte Mascariñas eloquently puts the reason for launching such promo, “Chooks-to-Win is our way to give back to the millions of loyal customers. Kasi, overwhelming talaga yung patronage ng public sa Chooks-to-Go nationwide since our launching in 2008.”
It all started with the ‘masarap kahit walang sauce’ oven-roasted chicken with a modest objective to take a small slice of the roasted chicken market. It is beyond our wildest expectations for Chooks-to-Go to become a dominant market leader in the country. Chooks-to-Win is just one of the brand’s ways to give back for the immense success they owe to every customer. For Margarita, Blesilda, and Janice, the consistent and superb quality of the roasted chicken they love was more than enough for its affordable price. But with the grand prizes on their hands, they can’t help but agree that, “sa Chooks-to-Go, masarap na, mura pa, panalo ka pa!”
