A day before the Toastmasters District 75 convention, at Sarossa Hotel Cebu City, President-Elect Mike Storkey awarded BAVI with the Crystal Globe Award for the company’s continued support of Toastmasters programs with over 14 BAVI-registered clubs and 300 members all over the Philippines.
The award was received by Atty. Nedo Sasing, AVP for Legal, HRD, & Corporate Administration, and two-time 1st Runner-up in the District Level International Speech Competition. Just last year, a similar award was given to BAVI and received by President Ronald Mascariñas during the District 75 convention in Palawan.
In Storkey’s speech addressing BAVI, he expressed amazement towards the company’s support, sharing, “This is the first time I know that an organization received the same award in a district. Setting up 14 to 16 Toastmasters club in an organization is really amazing.”
Present in the awarding are BAVI employees from Cebu Business Center as well as Toastmasters delegates for the District 75 convention, District Director Aristides Archie and Division C Director Chappy Piramide
BAVI currently has 14 registered clubs, with registration for the 15th and 16th club in progress. These clubs are currently composed of nearly 300 members.
The extensive Toastmasters program by BAVI is part of an effort to enhance employee engagement and develop communication and leadership skills of employees.
