Bounty Agro Ventures, Inc. (BAVI) once again actively participated in the recent 83rd Conference & Annual Convention of the Philippine Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA), held in SMX Convention Center, SM Lanang, Davao City, with 37 delegates.
The convention was an excellent venue for Veterinarians to “sharpen their saw” on scientific and technological developments, trends, and best practices in the veterinary discipline. For BAVI, it was a venue to support stakeholders advance their knowhow in the Veterinary profession.

Every year, BAVI sends their Veterinarians to the annual PVMA conference. As shared by delegate Dr. Audry Rose Gabonada, “This is the company’s way to fuel our expertise and competency in our veterinary profession.”
For this year’s PVMA convention, presentations were lined-up to strengthen the national veterinary services through partnerships and specializations of the different sectors of the Industry. Dr. Gabonada also shared, “The convention was a venue for experts to discuss current issues and challenges confronting the Industry, one of which is the hot issue on the very virulent New Castle Disease challenge in Luzon which causes high mortality and losses in both commercial and backyard farms. The forum heightened awareness on the epidemiology of the disease as well as the action plans and programs of both the private and government sectors in controlling the disease.”
Innovation to improve broiler performance and profitability of poultry operations was among the most interesting topics discussed in the plenary sessions.

Other key personalities from BAVI who attended the event were Dr. Erasmus Paderes, Senior Vice President for Feed Milling Operations and Animal Health Support Center, Dr. Antonio Utzurrum, Vice President and Regional Head for Visayas Operations, Dr. Henry Sy, Assistant Vice President and Regional Head for South Luzon Business Center, and Dr. Ray Apolo, Group Manager for the Bicol Business Center.
BAVI brand ambassadors with mascot Tom Crew welcomed vets from around the Philippines and shared career opportunities with the company.
Over-all the PVMA convention was an enriching experience for the delegates professionally and more importantly in renewing friendships with colleagues and stakeholders in the Industry.
