June 8, 2015 – A recently concluded consumer research conducted by Consumer Vibe Asia, Inc. revealed that in terms of preference, Chooks-to-Go has the highest ratings across all nominated roasted chicken brands across key areas of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Respondents were tasked to taste the roasted chicken and rate the product according to how much they found the product appealing in terms of taste, aroma, tenderness, and other characteristics. The brands included national brands such as Sr. Pedro and Andoks, and it also included strong local players in key areas of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
The findings are based on a Quantitative Study (Blind Monadic Product Test) with a sample size totaling 1,097 respondents in key cities in the Philippines from the period of January to April of 2015. The sample size is statistically conclusive. Respondents are Males and Females, 25-50 years old from the Broad C and D socio economic classes, who were purchase decision makers of the brand of food products bought for personal consumption or for the consumption of the entire household. They are regular buyers of roasted chicken.
Respondents were tasked to taste the roasted chicken and rate the product according to how much they found the product appealing. On a scale of 1 to 5 where 1 means “dislike extremely” and 5 means “like extremely, Chooks-to-Go (CTG) ranked the highest in all areas, across all brands. For Luzon, CTG ranked first (54%), followed by Sr. Pedro (46%), Andoks (38%), and Bertitos (17%). For Visayas, CTG also ranked first (49%), followed by Sr. Pedro (34%), and finally Negros Lechon (22%). For Mindanao, CTG ranked first (43%), followed by Disyang (29%), and finally Kurdapoys (18%).
